Oh!! How I Love It When It Rains
79
A rain shower is the best thing that happens, it washes away all the unwanted things and cleans the atmosphere. It falls on the plants; flowers and the earth making all these wonders of nature look all the more wonderful, and attractive. The rainbow formed after the rains have a matchless beauty.
Rains bring in a renewed charm and beauty in the environment. Small mushroom umbrellas grow all over and the flowers look fresh as ever as if newly painted and the berries look juicer. I like everything about the rains. I love looking up and letting the rain drops falls on my face. I love how my garden smells after it rains; the sweet smell of earth feels like bliss.
“A feeling of sadness and longing that is not akin to pain, and resembles sorrow only as the mist resembles the rain”
BY- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Enjoy the down pour when it doesn’t rain
I guess the rain showers have been designed especially for those who love rains and miss drenching when there are no rains. They also have shower valves and you can adjust for a heavy downpour and a soft drizzle. You can also decorate the area around with some colourful mini umbrellas, mushroom hooks and appropriate shower accessories.
Some heart drenching poems on rain:
The rain is falling all around,
It falls on field and tree,
It rains on the umbrellas here,
And on the ships at sea.
By Robert Louis Stevenson
The rain has an art that I may not get,
So I stand still here and get soaking wet.
I feel so complete when I’m in the rain,
I feel no sorrow I feel no pain,
It may give me a cold but I don’t care,
There’s a calming sensation from grass to air,
The feeling of love I don’t have, I will gain,
Because my heart falls open as I stand in the rain.
Unknown poet
Enjoy the rains
In the rainy season you can see lot of colour full umbrellas, rainy season boots and dresses. The colourful trench coats are another thing that I look forward to wearing.
I loved the rains since when I was a kid. A heavy downpour meant a holiday at school. My dad taught us how to make paper boats and me and my friend floated them in the puddles. Well one thing my dad said that rain takes away all the healthy soil and it goes into the sea. So we should plant more trees so that the fertile soil doesn’t go away with the rain water but instead it retains it inside. This will keep the soil health throughout the year and increase the ground water levels.
The rains apart from bringing in a renewed beauty in the atmosphere and everything around us are very important and provide us with water throughout the year by filling in our rivers. The downpour is god’s way of making us feel blessed. The rains wash away all our sorrows and difficulties and also help the growth of healthy crop.

Hi carrie, Oh I am so with you on this one, I love and adore rain, always have and one of my biggest 'hates' is the rain stopping, I know that's a bit odd and I can't explain it but I just hate it when it stops!
Lovely hub, thanks for sharing and voting up
This was so beautiful, carry. I love rain and it remind me about my hub about "weird rain phenomenon". I liked your perception about rain. Rain is naturally happened to this earth. Like my "vote" above that sweet smell of the earth after rainy. It sound great when the rain falling after dry season, it always happened in my country which has two seasons. I always enjoy the rain. It should be a romantic moment for me. Carrie, you have done such a beautiful work here. You got my vote. Cheers....

Rain is the best, it cleans the air and everything off. The smell and the way it sounds is wonderful. I know it sounds strange but I too love the rain! Thanks for sharing carrie!
Hi, I love the rain! but only when it has been a really hot day and we need some relief, then I go outside and just let it drop on my head, lovely hub! cheers nell
Carrie have you counted your followers answers? mostly they are the ladies? why? It might be that ladies feel more romantic on those days?
Very lovely hub Dear Heart. God Bless You. Beautiful pictures.
Oh how I would love to have a rain shower installed in my bathroom! Whenever I stay at hotels that have them I just can't wait to hop in the shower.
I am originally from the UK too - it's nice to meet you here on HubPages.
The point here is genetics and inherited behavior. See how you accent is British? or Perhaps northumbrian or going back more Gaelic....I better stop about this going back too far..lol. All started at the cave, or in Adam and Eve's times, for our Christian fellows. Rain causes so many reactions depending on your background...just an example: Depending on how you mom(mum in UK) reacted to rain when you were a little girl, your reactions were copied faithfully. Most women get romantic due to the relation to water and beautiful nites with their male counterpart, basically due to forced staying at home and catching up with that 'togetherness'....I might as well write a hub about this subject lol...with your permission mademoiselle Thomson. What about me? I get ver romantic I can feel sweet feelings and share it with the right person... but nevertheless I tried to naswer your main question. Have a nice one !
Well carie Thanks! Probably by now you are reading my hub that was inspired by you lol! SECRETS OF WOMEN DECODED. Had to write it right away..as soon as inspiration knocked my soul and heart last night.
There was this lady that wrote: Well I like your style..but I must disagree, I better shut my mouth.
Carrie-I am with you when it comes to rain. I love watching it rain, listening to the rain and going out in the rain. When I was a kid, we use to wash our hair when it was pouring out. One of those magical moments that you never forget. Thanks for all the variety in your hub about rain. It was fun and peaceful :-)
Talking about catching up Carrie. LOL! See how Minetonka is a proof of what I said above? Shhh! Now about, what's her name? Well, 'the lady who agrees on disagreeing' Women can be a pandora box, but when it rains...all feel like in Pandora, from the movie Avatar. Words like," you got my attention to the very end, or, I didnt realise that!... women get romantic after a rainy day. You see how me and Prasetio30 are the only males in here? LOL!
ENJOY!...thinking to write another hub tonite? any advice?
Lol; perfect!!
When growing up in central Florida--long before WDW brought growth and tourism--we had afternoon showers everyday at 4:00. It was like clockwork and it was very refreshing on those hot afternoons. Then we had the occasional hurricane--much needed by the islands in the Atlantic so they could have fresh water to drink--but wow the rain! We had astounding rain storms at night sometimes. I liked the rain then too, but that lightening was fierce and the thunder claps would go right through you!
What a Delightful Hub, Carrie...It's so upbeat and Fun. We Love walking in the rain, even on the beach it's so serene.
I agree with you girls..and with you too carrie!! Nice hub! I'm soaking wet already..thinking of a beach and rain as i walk down the wetty sand...!
hahaha!!
Nothing puts me to sleep like a good rain....love the soothing sound. And one of my favorite quotes is rain related. "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain."
This is a beautiful hub about rain, Carrie. You've described all the best aspects of a rainstorm. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
This is the driest Texas has been since 1895, when the state began keeping rainfall records. Our rainfall is running more than 20 inches below normal. It's been over 70 days with temperatures of over 100 degrees F. How I long for rain ... I will take any kind, misting, drenching, a cloudburst, a shower, thunder and lightning, can you imagine how the plants will rejoice? Please, you lucky people, send some positive thoughts our way ... thank you!
Wow carrie, definitely you've gotten a lot of raining fans! Good for you!
Thanks to you Carrie. Very thankful for your tips, May God bless your life!
No my dear friend. you are afraid now. Lol! Won't take any more tips.. have a nice one, Carrie!
No my sweet muse...you will always inspire me..remember that!! is 3.33 am..so tomorrow will write more. thnx!
any tip! lololol
A essence in our feelings and creativity comes down to a single word: LOVE
I love the rain when in moderation....too much rain causes problems. I enjoyed how you put your hub together. Very creative! UP!!! :)
Back at ya Carrie. Hubpages is always an adventure I'm glad to be part of yours :)
Carriethomson, you make rain sound so beautiful. A perfect example of optimism. We should make the most of everything and look for the beauty in everything. I can't imagine a hub by you about a cloudless, blue sky, sunny day. You are a gifted writer and I look forward to reading more of your hubs. Voted up and beautiful.
Love the rain and hated picking just one item from your voting poll, dancing in the rain naked! Oh Yeah! special treat after months of hot weather....
An interesting hub, carrie, and so many comments! I find the rain soothing and freshening, but I wouldn't want it to carry on for days like it can do.
Best wishes.
I love the rain. I love to hear it on the house and I love to go out and feel it on me. Thank you for this lovely Hub. I enjoyed this journey with you.
I love the rain! Must be the gardener in me appreciating the blessing that God is giving when He does the watering for us! :o)
It is raining right now here in central Texas! It's 2:15 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011, and it is raining! Perhaps 100 days have gone by since we've seen rain. I am so happy and the trees and bushes and grasses are just drinking it in. It started about ten minutes ago and I ran outside and felt it falling on me. Isolated tiny cold drops, then a little more, then more, and now it is a drenching pounding shower. I had forgotten how rain smelled, sounded, felt! Oh I am so thankful for this rain. (Happy dance!)
What a beautifully sensible graceful set of thought-words!
Very enjoyable read, and I especially loved your dew-dropped rose. I voted but wanted to punch two buttons rather than one...
I love it when it rains in the night with cool breeze blowing my face. So awesome. Thanks
This past weekend we drove to Port Aransas (Texas beach) and it showered off and on all weekend. Bliss!
thanks for this nice articles about article, you have selceted a wonderfull photos, voted up
Hey Carrie sorry about that, but your article was amazing in a way that made me make this typo error, you express your self and the rain in very positive and alive way. so keep up the good work.
I share the same sentiments as you do, carrie. The rain brings renewal and cleanses us of the world's sin. To me, there is nothing more calming than the effect of rain. Due to the fact that I have a voracious appetite for books, I really do like being at home while it's raining outside while reading with a cup of tea or coffee. There really is nothing more relaxing and makes me appreciate the fact that I'm alive :D
What a great idea for a hub! Carry on, Carrie ;)

I not only love rain drops falling and making bubbles but getting drenched in the rain, too. Very nice share, thanks.
Love this hub and it is raining here in the Green river Valley of WNC today.
I't been raining for about a week here in central Texas, and the drought and wildfires are in the past -- the rain is such a blessing and we are so happy to receive it.
Hi there carriethomson, great hub, I have so much catching up to do, there's so much good reading on HP. I saw your comment about "catching up", how can it be done? Anyway, Hawaii has a lot of rain, it will rain when the sun is shining, that's why we have so much rainbows. Thanks...

I like rain only when it’s over in 10 min ;-)) But I hate the misty one that continues for days and days, because I can’t go outside.
